The Suburban Review published the work of 38 writers and artists in 2021, and you can see it all right here in our TSR 2021 bundle.
We started off sweaty with TSR #21: SALT, a packed and pickled mix of poetry, fiction, comics, and art just waiting to be popped open. TSR #22: ORGANISE AND MOBILISE lit a fire inside that might only be tempered by the strong embrace of collective action! In TSR #23: PUNCTURE, we published work that pierces and ruptures. This special issue also showcased the Kingston Arts’ Artz Blitz 2021 competition winners, which our Associate Editor and Media Manager Maya Pilbrow had the pleasure of judging. Finally, TSR #24: UGLY was ripe and raw to end a terrible year. Wade through the icky, the uncomfortable, the dazed and dazzling, as our contributors inspected the ugliness in ourselves and our worlds.
Our contributors in 2021 have included emerging writers and artists with their first publication, established and admired figures on the Australian literary scene, international peers, and our brilliant editorial team. We thank them all for their work, and hope you’ll enjoy it!
