Simone King (she/her) is a poet, researcher, and former social justice lawyer and policy adviser who lives and writes on Wurundjeri country, Naarm. She is currently undertaking a PhD in creative practice research (poetry) at RMIT University. Simone has won several poetry prizes including the 2022 Blake Poetry Prize and the 2021 Woorilla Poetry Prize. Her poems and reviews have been published in the Australian Poetry Anthology, Best of Australian Poems 2022, Rabbit Poetry Journal, Cordite, Plumwood Mountain, and Mascara Literary Review. Simone coedited What We Carry: Poetry on Childbearing, Recent Work Press, 2021.
