A streetlamp curves out of a telephone pole supporting multiple telephone lines. At the bottom of the scene is the barely visible roof and chimney of a house. Over the span of four panels, the sky behind the streetlamp shifts from a daylight sky blue into a glowing orange sunset, which illuminates clouds from below. They look like golden-rimmed shadows.

Over the span of the last four panels, the sky behind the streetlamp shifts from the glowing orange sunset into early nightfall. The golden and orangey light shifts into greener, then bluer, then purple tones. In the final panel, the streetlight switches on. A star can be seen behind it, the sky is half cloudy.
